Yang Ming names its third 15,500 TEU LNG dual-fuel container vessel 'YM Wayfinder' at HD HHI shipyard. The ship will enter Asia-North Europe FE3 service on July 1, cutting emissions by 20% compared to conventional fuel.

Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. held a naming ceremony on June 26 at the HD Hyundai Heavy Industries shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea, for 'YM Wayfinder', the third vessel in its series of 15,500 TEU-class LNG dual-fuel container ships. The vessel, with a length of 364.97 meters and a beam of 51 meters, has a capacity of approximately 15,600 TEU. ## Vessel Specifications and Environmental Benefits Equipped with high-pressure dual-fuel main engines running on LNG or low-sulfur fuel oil, the vessel primarily uses LNG upon delivery, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by about 20% compared to conventional fuel oil. Two sister ships, 'YM Willpower' and 'YM Worthiness', are already in service and have bunkered over 11,158 metric tons of LNG, cutting emissions by an estimated 12,532 metric tons. ## Deployment on FE3 Service 'YM Wayfinder' is scheduled to start on the Asia-North Europe FE3 service on July 1, with port rotation: Qingdao – Ningbo – Yantian – Singapore – Felixstowe – Antwerp – Hamburg. The deployment aims to maximize slot utilization and strengthen service network competitiveness while providing low-carbon transport.
